2008 promo sees L'Alternativa Film Festival as a modern-day Wunderkammer. The Wunderkammern, or cabinets of curiosities, were personal collections of strange and wonderful objects in Reinaissance Europe. The images were shoot at Frederic Marés Museum in Barcelona (www.museumares.bcn.es)

Tribute to the dawn of filmmaking and one of its leading lights, Étienne-Jules Marey (1830-1904). Inspired by the work of Eadweard Muybridge, this french scientist designed a device to capture the stages of a body in motion on a glass plate. Film made by manipulating super8mm found footage.
